First DS store on the African continent opens in Tunis

The Tunis DS Store opened yesterday, at a ceremony attended by DS brand chief Yves Bonnefont, AURES AUTO CEO Bassem Loukil and many other personalities.

As the first DS Store in Africa, the new Tunis outlet highlights the DS international development strategy with its focus on major cities worldwide. The opening ceremony was a fine opportunity for the première appearance in Tunisia of New DS 5, the DS flagship, a car that exemplifies the DS avant garde spirit and points the way to design identity of DS models to come.
Bassem Loukil, CEO of AURES AUTO, had this to say at the opening ceremony for the Tunis DS Store yesterday: “We’re proud to present the DS brand, the epitome of Parisian chic. We had absolutely no hesitation in opening this showcase for a prestige auto brand. At this, the first DS Store in Africa and one of the first in the world, we’ll be offering customers a unique experience!”
For DS chief Yves Bonnefont, “this is a key event, because a dedicated DS outlet greatly enhances brand visibility to customers and prospective customers alike. Development of a dealer network is a major aspect of brand advancement and the Tunis DS Store proves that the process is well under way.”
The Tunis DS Store measures 254 square metres and offers customers immersion in the DS brand experience. The atmosphere is cosy and refined from start to finish: modern façade, smart design, DS décor, lacquered furniture, plasma screens, and photos featuring Paris and the worlds of fashion and upmarket design. As in all DS Stores, the cars are located facing a comfortable central lounge area. Star of the showroom is New DS 5, released officially on the Tunisian market at yesterday’s ceremony.
