Sinotruk of China Unveils New Truck Models in Kenya
With CFAO Mobility serving as a local distributor, Sinotruk, a Chinese heavy-duty truck manufacturer, introduced its H2 light-duty truck and H3 medium-duty truck models in Kenya.
In Nairobi, Kenya's capital, Sarfraz Premji, general manager of CFAO Mobility for Sinotruk, told reporters that the models are poised to transform the transportation sector because they have larger fuel tanks and higher payload capacities, which eliminate the need for frequent refueling and allow for longer trips, ultimately saving fuel costs.
"With proven reliability and long-term durability, these trucks stand out as leading options in the light- and medium-duty truck categories," Premji stated.
Because Chinese trucks are made to meet the needs of Africa's road infrastructure, he observed that their popularity is growing in the Kenyan market.
Customers that invest in Sinotruck through CFAO will receive a truck that offers all the essential elements for their business, including increased power, efficiency, durability, comfort, and a dependable nationwide after-sales network, according to Premji.
"The launch of these models will cater to both the last-mile delivery and the heavy load delivery in addition to long haulage," according to him.
According to Alex Cui, Sinotruk's sales manager for the Kenyan market, Chinese trucks are locally constructed in Kenya, which drastically cuts down on delivery times, increases product availability, and improves after-sales service for clients nationwide.
Following the signing of a memorandum of understanding that signaled the start of a strategic partnership to increase the local assembly of Sinotruk vehicles in Kenya, Sinotruk International and Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers launched the initiative.
