Ashok Leyland launches its headquarters in Ivory Coast

 Ashok Leyland reported huge interests in the African continent and launched its West African Headquarters in Abidjan. The office includes the Regional Marketing Office, Training Centre, Genuine Spare Parts, Warehouse (Leyparts) and 12 completely equipped Workshop Bays.

The company said the facility promotes its duty to the Road Transport Development Fund and will fill in as a focal area for the Francophone region. 

The company launched 4 products: Boss, Captain, Mitr and Hawk. It said these products with altered vehicle specifications, have been acquainted to match the needs of Ivorian customers. 
 
Rajive Saharia, President Global Sales & Distribution of Ashok Leyland, said, "The inauguration of this facility is a big-step towards offering specialized after-sales solutions to our customers in Ivory Coast and crafting trust for our brand. This one-stop destination further underlines our commitment to the government of Ivory Coast. For us, Africa is important for the company's global growth. With comprehensive plans for the West African region and an instrumental partnership with the Government of Ivory Coast, Ashok Leyland is all set to consolidate its efforts towards making Ivory Coast a central automotive hub for West Africa." 
 
He said that the new line-up of vehicles will develop the logistic network of the country and that connectivity will change the isolated local markets into major national markets. 
The 'Captain' ranges of tippers are designed to carry out heavy payloads and operate in the toughest construction sites. The 'Boss' will support the workforce in the agricultural sector. Mitr, is a staff transport vehicle for intra-city drives where as the Hawk buses are designed to travel the suburban roads and city streets of Ivory Coast, the company said.
